Through initiatives like P4I, the Australian Government is investing in our Southeast Asian partnerships. P4I is supporting the region's resilience and economic recovery through infrastructure partnerships with Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam and ASEAN.

P4I collaborates with Australian government agencies and other stakeholders to expand linkages and enhance engagement in infrastructure in Southeast Asia. It builds on Australia's existing cooperation with the region and robust expertise in developing world-class infrastructure.

Partnerships for Infrastructure is a multi-phase Australian Government initiative that reflects Australia’s commitment to quality infrastructure as a driver of sustainable and inclusive growth, consistent with Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040. Phase 1 runs until the end of 2025, with select activities continuing during the transition period. Phase 2 will begin in 2026 as a 10-year program that builds on lessons from Phase 1. Planning is underway for transition engagement and a start-up portfolio to support early Phase 2 delivery.
